All things RFID

Since our RFID workshop is this weekend, I thought I’d point to some related news I picked up online about the technology.

+ Ordering at McDonald’s with RFID (via Roomware.

+ Timo Arnall speaks about RFID as a tool for design.

+ Recalling RFID took place in the Netherland last week.

++ Californian employers can’t tag their employees while in the UK tests are being made to tag school uniforms with RFID.

thish_room.jpg

Oh boy what a week! We had the great pleasure of sponsoring thishappened which got a great turnout.

thish_massimo.jpg

The organisers also were kind enough to invite Massimo to be a speaker and talk about his work with Arduino. The crowd was a lot of fun and some lovely Californians in town for fowa even dropped in.

Well done to the organisers and do check out the official pics.
See you at the next one!

H3: hardware hacking enthusiast’s pubmeet 2: report

tenori.jpg

We had loads of fun last night , especially when people decided that they would bring things they had made again!

Peter Knight pretty much convinced everyone to buy a Tenori-on when he brought his along and everyone had a go!

Moritz came with a great display of moving space invaders and had everyone amazed at how bright the LEDs were.

We pretty much closed the pub and around 15 odd people showed up. Not bad for a Monday night!

Check out the pics on my flickr. For anyone who attended and took pics: the flickr tag for the event is h3londondrinksoctober

See you at the next!
